I'm Ed Alpez - 13+ years building production web & mobile products. I spent 9+ years mastering WordPress before evolving into React, Next.js, React Native, and the MERN stack. Creator of Monnei.
I build products that are fast, clean, and shipped on time, pairing a designer's attention to detail with an engineer's precision across every part of the product.
I've been a frontend developer since 2012. I started deep in WordPress, building custom themes and plugins from scratch, before moving to modern JavaScript over the last 5+ years. React, Next.js, and TypeScript have been my core stack ever since.
In my last role I led the frontend of a multimedia platform, owning its hardest feature: a web-based video editor. I drove architecture decisions, shipped features end to end, untangled the difficult bugs, and worked side by side with backend and design. It made me someone who can take an ambiguous, complex problem and solve it independently.
I care about both kinds of detail, the ones users feel (interaction, performance, clarity) and the ones teammates rely on (clean architecture, maintainable code).
